Compliance Requirements

Annual energy benchmarking via ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager
Meet BEPS minimum performance thresholds (median ENERGY STAR score by property type)
Select compliance pathway if below standard: performance, prescriptive, or alternative
20% energy use reduction through performance pathway if applicable

Data Required

12 months of utility bills (electricity, gas, oil, steam)
Building gross floor area
Building use type and ENERGY STAR score
Compliance pathway documentation and improvement plans
